“Five before five” is an awareness campaign to remind our audience to… “Stop ignoring bodily signs, symptoms, and alerts that something may be malfunctioning within.” The body is a well-designed gift and we have the responsibility to sustain and maintain its needs. The body deserves as much attention as we give to our work, finances, and family.

Addressing health disparities for men of color requires a holistic and collaborative effort involving healthcare providers, community organizations, policymakers, and individuals themselves. By adopting a multi-faceted approach, it is possible to create a more equitable and inclusive personal healthcare system that promotes well-being. We are the body’s first responder. Whether it is mental, physical, and/ or spiritual wellness, we should adhere to what our body is saying.

This campaign is inspired by an Islamic principle, and it is also a reminder to our many friends and family who are currently experiencing complications to heed the warning signs, before it’s too late.

  • Black, Indigenous, and People of Colour (BIPOC) face multiple health and social inequities.
  • BIPOC men face higher rates of illness and death across a range of conditions including; diabetes, hypertension, obesity, asthma, and heart disease.
  • This reminder is for all Men and Women.

Call to Action “Stop ignoring bodily signs, symptoms, and alerts that something may be malfunctioning within” and take care of yourselves. Please srehare with family, frirends. and those whom you care for.
