On Monday October 2, 2023 INKERIJ Foundation launched its #Project2192. It hosted a community forum to discuss hate crimes, public safety, and prevention. Community members were invited to Masjid Omar Ibn Khattab in Los Angeles for an evening of meaningful dialogue and the recognition of leaders.

California State Attorney General Rob Bonta gave opening remarks which was followed by a tenacious panel discussion, moderated by Rev. Najuma Smith (Word of Encouragement Church.)

Panelists: Chief Michael Moore (LAPD,) Joumana Silyan-Saba (Civil + Human Rights and Equity Department,) Salam Marayati (Muslim Public Affairs Council,) Eddie Anderson (L.A. Voice,) Margari Hill (Muslim Anti-Colaborative,) Bro. Rey Liggins (Stop The Violence Increace the Peace Foundation,) Special Asst. Attorney Damon Brown (Department of Justice,) and South Los Angeles Community leaders.

Community Partners: California Department of Justice, Civil + Human Rights and Equity Department, INKERIJ Foundation, LA Voice, Masjid Omar Ibn Al Khattab, MuslimArc, and Muslim Public Affairs Council, and Stop The Violence Increase the Peace Foundation.
