Inkerij (Encourage) Foundation is a Compton based organizaiton which is an advisory that helps purpose driven organizations and individuals build their own capacity. Umar Hakim Dey (founder,) has been utilizing his skills and network at providing insight to re-building Muslim involvment throughtout the County of Los Angeles and California.
November (2024) In Oakland, we heard from community leaders and the Lighthouse Mosque about the state of the city. In partnership with local faith-base organizers (Faith and Action East Bay) and a new initiative called Voices for African America Muslims (VAAM.) We discussed having a vision for our communities’ sustainability. This is much needed research into how we will strengthen lives against a design that is gentrifying the existence of residents in urban communities alike. We also learned that crime is down 33% and there were “NO” murders in the month of October 2024. A signifcant break for civilian life and Oakland’s residents.
Over the last 12 years, Inkerij has been serving as a broker and a stakeholder of relations within Los Angeles’ Civic, Interfaith, and Community Organizing spaces. We have earned the trust of Muslim philanthropists and other entities to become a worthy source to help communities, single-parents, and families. The foundation’s work goes beyond Los Angeles’ Service Planning 6. Our work has expanded its efforts into the Inland Empire, San Diego, and Oakland; By sharing insights on powerbuilding techniques and connecting its network to local leaders. Inkerij serves as hub of expertise and sound advisory.
We utilize our “Will and Ability” as an adaptive approach for problem-solving in key spaces to prevent organizations from falling short and be effective. Throughout California Inkerij is contending to grow strategically. Helping the purpose-driven individual(s) to develop changing solutions during challenging times. Inkerij is an insightful grassroots advocate for social justice, with an authentic leadership approach in the State of California.
