Since 1619, when the first documented ship delivered the Enslaved to America, African Americans have prayed and fought not only for Civil Rights, but for Human Rights for all oppressed people: Men, Women, and Children whose lives were sacrificed against an oppressive opposition. The enslaved Africans kept their spirituality high, never once losing hope of establishing moral justice for their lineage to come.
In 2023, the once-enslaved African, today known as “African American”, is now a somewhat free human being. We are a People who have achieved a noble status in Academia, become officials throughout Government, are Business-minded entrepreneurs, respected in the Arts, and more. We have much to celebrate, but we still must achieve the supplications made by our mothers, historical leaders, and all of the unknown prayers made for true freedom and equality in America. Over the years we have invented new technologies, advised leaders, and encouraged America to become a better culture to provide Human Security for its citizens.
INKERIJ uplifts the many Fathers, Mothers, and their offspring during Black History Month. May we continue to seek a “maximum balance” in this life. Major Love and Respect to true allies who see the human being within the human.
This Black History Month, let’s not only learn about the struggle, but let’s honor the narrative of the oppressed. May The Creator Bless and Provide Health, Security, and Protection for His creation.
